The device has a flap gate (5) contained in a sub plate (3) connecting a tank (6) to a basin (25) of a water closet (4) by a pipe (22). The flap gate closing the tank is lifted by a mechanism constituted of movable arms (7, 8), during the closing of a cover of the basin, where one of the arms is flexible. The flap gate is associated to an overflow exhaust tube (9) of the tank and a shaft (10) that guides the flap gate.
