The munition comprises a sub-caliber projectile (1) with a pointed tip (11), a body (12) and a tail (13), located inside a basically cylindrical container (2) with a section corresponding to that of the launch barrel. The container is made from a material of low density compared to that of the projectile; it has a cavity (21) to receive the projectile and an anti-aerodynamic outer shape that limits the projectile's trajectory but releases it on impact. The rear of the container is closed by a plug (3), leaving a free space for the container to move relative to the projectile on launching.
