The saddle tree (300) consists of a lower section (320) and an upper section (310) of molded composition materials, joined by their lateral edges and leaving an empty space (330) between them. The upper section is more supple than the lower one and the two sections are assembled by a continuous join round their outer edges. The upper section contains synthetic and carbon fibers lying mainly perpendicular and parallel to the tree's lengthwise axis (350), while the lower section contains carbon fibers that lies mainly at 50 degrees or more to the lengthwise axis. The tree also has lower panels (304) of a material with a shape memory effect and containing hot-compressed zones.
