The system has a spring (8) with two branches (9, 10) connected to each other using an elastic unit (11). The spring is placed in a sleeve (5) such that the branches are placed on both sides of an axis of an opening (6) of the sleeve. The elastic unit is arranged to support the branches against a rod, when the rod is placed in the opening, to clip the rod and to engage the branches into two respective notches of the rod. An independent claim is also included for an application of a system for guiding and blocking the movement of a rod used in a seat of a motor vehicle.
