The corset has two lateral hands (1, 2) connected by a sliding closing bridge that is formed with two semi-bridges (3a, 3b) fixed integrally to the hands, respectively, at the level of one of their ends. The semi-bridges are jointly fixed to the hands through lateral masts (13). A stop unit (6) is fixed in an adjustable position on one semi-bridge to limit maximal distance between the hands.
