The prop has a flexible blade (6) with an end (6a) fixed to body (2) of a vehicle and another end supporting an arm (3) which connects hood to the body. The blade projects with respect to a plane, in which the arm is moved, during movement of the hood between closed and open positions such that the arm pushes the blade towards a position in which the latter end of the blade supports the arm to hold the hood in open position.
