The method involves generating a part of a sub-title (PST) of an audio or video flow by a sub-title generator (GS). The part is transmitted to a production server (SP) and is inserted in a control flow (FC). The control flow is coded as a resultant flow (FR) by the server (SP), such that the resultant flow is transmitted to broadcasting and web servers (SD, SW) and is called by a user terminal (T) in a multi-media document (DM). An independent claim is also included for a system of sub-titling in real time an audio stream in a multimedia document requested by a user terminal.
