The pad has a fastening zone (101) provided with a stiffness creating unit (102) for creating an intermediate stiffness (Kp) between spring stiffness (Ks`) and yoke stiffness (Ka`). The unit (102) has orifices (108, 109), and is placed at a stop zone (103) of the zone (101). The tangential movement of the pad brings the zone (103) against a yoke (105) of a caliper (100), during braking. An independent claim is also included for a disc brake caliper provided with a friction pad.
