The process involves loading temporary data (40) from several wireless telephony operator kits into a reprogrammable zone of a memory (10) of a mobile terminal (1). Configuration data associated to one of wireless operator kits is read by the terminal. The terminal is configured by a generation unit through a software configuration module (3) for producing personalized data resources on another zone of the memory. An independent claim is also included for a personalized mobile terminal having software and hardware interface of communication with subscriber identification module.
