Expandable envelope for e.g. bank note, has leaflets forming strip with folding lines that provide for gusset zone, where each zone end of one leaflet has cut to assure gusset formation and facilitate envelope corner connection

The envelope has two leaflets (1, 2), where one leaflet is larger than the other to form a strip (7) with two parallel folding lines (6d, 6`d). The lines provide for a gusset zone and an end zone with an adhesive portion. Each of the two ends of the gusset zone of the leaflet (1) has a cut such that the lines assure formation of a gusset, and cuts facilitate connection of the corners of the envelope during and after filling. An INDEPENDENT CALIM is also included for a process of continuous fabrication of expandable envelopes.
