Zinc gluconate particle composition (I) comprises at least some zinc gluconate particles in acicular form. Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparation of (I); (2) deodorant cosmetic formulation (II) comprising the zinc gluconate particles in acicular form in a cosmetically acceptable support; and (3) aerosol device constituting a container comprising (II), at least a propellant agent and a means of distribution of the aerosol composition.
