The card (2) has a supply module (4) and a power charging module (8). The supply module provides electric supply to a host (24) when an electric supply module (22) of the host connected to the card does not function properly. The supply module (4) is recharged by the supply module (22) of the host through the power charging module, when the capacity of the supply module (4) is insufficient. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a computer system possessing a secured supply comprising a host and the interface card (B) a method for providing a secured power to a computer system.
