The plate (7) has oval toothed shape which is obtained by connecting toothed arc segments on circular plates whose primitive diameters correspond to that of circular arcs which make up oval teeth. The plate (7) is constituted by 4 circular arcs having same length, where each arc has 8 teeth. The circular arcs have respective centre points (O, O`, B, B`) that constitute a primitive periphery (8) of the tooth. An independent claim is also included for a pedal assembly including a toothed plate.
