The assembly has five columns of neighboring seats, where each seat is convertible into a berth to have a stretched bedding surface. Each seat, when converted into a berth, has a bedding part of width lesser than another bedding part. The seats in the two neighboring columns are disposed in staggered rows, such that a portion of a seat of one column faces lesser width portion of a seat of the other column. An independent claim is also included for an aircraft.
