The knitted fabric has a three-dimensional structure created by two layers of jersey knit rows (1, 3; 4, 6) connected by linking yarns (2, 5) to form closed cells that can trap air. For knitting loom of 10, 12 or 14 gauge a yarn with a count close to 330 dtex is suitable, while a yarn with two or three times that count is more appropriate for the linking yarns, depending on the required fabric weight.
