The device has a double series of roller-gears (2) disposed face to face and in semi-circles perpendicularly around a drive axle (1). The axle drives band-chains (4) which slide along the roller-gears to vary the diameter of the semi-circles, in order to continuously modify the gear ratio according to the need. Two tilting arms (5) enclose the band-chains and control the action of sliding.
