The process involves closing an outlet of a stop gate (4) of a hydraulic connection (3), between a secondary pipeline (2) and a main pipe (1), with a tool (7). The gate is opened and drilling of the pipe is tapped with the tool. A threaded stopper is placed on the tapped drilling and the connection is dismounted. A new connection is positioned again, the tool on the gate of the new connection is replaced and the stopper is removed. An independent claim is also included for a unit for implementing a process of replacing secondary pipeline and main pipe connection.
