The heater has U-shaped heating resistors (3-5) engaging with respect to each other in bases at a side of a closed base of a sheath that is suspended in a tub. Arms (3a-5a) of the resistors lie parallel to a longitudinal axis of the sheath. Heating zones (3c-5c) defined on each arm are axially displaced in the sheath by suspension devices and electrically fed by electrical connection devices connected to proximal end parts of the arms.
