The method involves measuring a number of impulses directly proportional to the number of turns of a driving shaft of an apron. Time taken during complete movement of the apron between a lower position and an upper position is measured simultaneously during the measurement of impulses, where a time base has a clock frequency greater than the frequency of rotation of the shaft, to control movement of the apron. An independent claim is also included for a device of implementing a method for controlling movement of an apron.
