Seat track assembly which is adjustable in a fore or aft direction by a vehicle seat adjuster mechanism including a drive block threadably mounted on a shaft

A vehicle seat adjuster 16 (Fig.2) has a first track member(s) 21 attached to a vehicle (15,Fig.1) and a second track member(s) 20 attached to a vehicle seat (10,Fig.1) and is movable relative to the first track. The adjuster includes a drive mechanism which has a threaded shaft 62 connected with the second track member, a drive block 64 (Fig.3) attached to the first track member, and a gear 60 which moves the threaded shaft within the drive block to move the track members 20. The drive block includes a base (74,Fig.4), a plastic isolator (70) (e.g. urethane), and a nut (72). The isolator fits within an opening on the base between arms (76,78) thereof, and the nut fits within an opening (86) in the isolator. Each of the components has a respective bore (80,84,88) formed therethrough such that the threaded shaft can pass through the drive block. The isolator and the nut are pivotable within the base to maintain alignment between the shaft and the drive block, and also limit shaft vibration through the drive block.
