PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of capturing an ultrasonic diagnostic image at prescribed timing even if there is absence of an electrocardiogram-synchronized trigger signal on the way.;SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises first-fourth timer means activated by R-wave synchronized signal of an electrocardiogram, a trigger generating timing means for setting one of four prescribed periods of time for the first and second timer means, the shorter period and the longer period of the first and second periods, and outputting a trigger activating signal after the elapse of the prescribed period of time, a pseudo trigger generating means which generates and outputs a pseudo trigger signal if the trigger activating signal is output within a prescribed period of time of the third timer and which is not operated at all if the trigger activating signal is output after the elapse of the prescribed period, a trigger output inhibiting means which permits the output when the pseudo trigger signal is input after the elapse of the prescribed period of time of the fourth timer, but which inhibits the output when the pseudo trigger signal is input within the prescribed period, and an electrocardiogram-synchronized trigger signal output means which adds the R-wave synchronized signal and the pseudo trigger signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
