PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a course of a movable body on the basis of diverse conditions, especially to predict the course of the movable body at a junction, even when a destination is not set in a navigation system.;SOLUTION: When the movable body on which the navigation system 10 is mounted is presumed to enter the junction, a leaving course of the movable body at the junction is predicted, by considering various conditions such as a history of past movement (running) of the movable body (personal statistical information 47 on a junction crossing history, personal statistical information 48 on a running route history, and personal statistical information 49 on a destination registration/use history), present conditions of a user (TPO information 50 on the user), and inclinations of general leaving courses at the junction (social statistical information 23 on a road traffic flow history and social statistical information 33 on a junction crossing history). It is possible to express, from the viewpoint of probability, a leaving course at the junction to be predicted, and also possible to perform in advance processing which becomes useful on the occasion of considering the prediction result as a leaving course to be selected by the movable body in reality and taking the leaving course.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
