PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily, subjecting arsenic in land water such as river water, lake water, pond water, or ground water to fractional quantitative analysis every valence number. PSOLUTION: In the fractional quantitative analysis method of trivalent arsenic and pentavalent arsenic in the land water, using negative ion exchange resin, trivalent arsenic and pentavalent arsenic in aqueous solution are separated and recovered, and both quantities are determined. Mixed standard solution is produced and is passed through the negative ion exchange resins, thereby separating and recovering the trivalent arsenic and pentavalent arsenic.
