HALFTONE DOT EVALUATION METHOD, HALFTONE DOT EVALUATION DEVICE AND HALFTONE DOT EVALUATION PROGRAM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halftone dot evaluation method, a halftone dot evaluation device and a halftone dot evaluation program capable of appropriately evaluating a halftone dot set. PSOLUTION: A shape and a size are set for the halftone dots of respective colors constituting the halftone dot set, a relative position in the superposition of the halftone dots is determined, and area ratios occupied respectively by pure colors of the plurality of colors and respective mixed colors generated when the set halftone dots are superposed at the determined position are calculated. The spectrum of the superposition of the halftone dots is calculated by using the calculated area ratio and the spectrum in each of the pure colors of the plurality of colors and the respective mixed colors, a tristimulus value is calculated on the basis of the calculated spectrum, and the halftone dot set is evaluated on the basis of the calculated tristimulus value.
