PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily determining an end point by anybody, and capable of also automatically controlling a determination, without relying on an experience of a skilled person, in a polishing process of an ore sample.;SOLUTION: The end point for polishing the ore sample in finish polishing and the final polishing, is determined on the basis of its change, by detecting torque applied to a motor of a polishing machine in the finish polishing and the final polishing, when polishing a sample of an ore and a metallic refining intermediate material wrapped, embedded and consolidated in resin to be provided for a microscopic observation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
