PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring path survey instrument capable of specifying survey wiring efficiently with excellent precision, by conducting rough area survey and the specifying survey in two steps using dedicated sensors respectively. PSOLUTION: This wiring path survey instrument is constituted of a transmitter and a receiver 1. The transmitter is able to impress to the survey wiring a high-frequency signal current of a high frequency exceeding a commercial frequency as a signal current superposingly with a low-frequency signal current of a frequency lower than the commercial frequency. The receiver 1 is provided with a noncontact sensor 18 for detecting a magnetic field generated by the high-frequency signal current impressed to the wiring by the transmitter, under the condition separated from the wiring, a clamp sensor 16 for detecting a magnetic field generated by the high-frequency signal current or the low-frequency signal current impressed to the wiring by the transmitter, under the condition of clamping the wiring or the condition contacting with the wiring, and a reception level display part 15 for displaying a reception level detected by the noncontact sensor 18 or the clamp sensor 16.
