PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof appliance and an explosion-proof luminaire each having a structure facilitating work for incorporating an electric component in a vessel as compared with a conventional structure and eliminating the need of processing the inside surface of the vessel.;SOLUTION: This explosion-proof appliance 1 is provided with: the tubular vessel 3 with both end faces opened in the axial direction; a pair of lid bodies 4 for closing both the axial end faces of the vessel 3 by being inserted into the vessel 3 along the axial direction of the vessel 3; and a connection member 11 for connecting both the lid bodies 4 to each other by being connected to both the lid bodies 4. A mounting plate 16 with electric components mounted thereon is housed in the vessel 3. The mounting plate 16 has a fixed part 18 fixed to one of the lid bodies 4 in its one end in the longitudinal direction, and has a fitting part 23 fitted to a fitting groove 22 of the other lid body 4 at the other end in the longitudinal direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
