PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new gene capable of being still more improved in an amount of accumulation of indole glucosinolates (IGs), by being highly expressed, and to provide a method for utilizing the same.;SOLUTION: A variant rmt-1 having 5-methyltryptophan (5MT) resistance is selected from an activation tagging library given by inserting a T-DNA of Arabidopsis thaliana thereinto. Further, a gene which exists adjacently to a T-DNA insertion site in the variant rmt-1 and is highly expressed is isolated as the new gene participating in synthesis of the IGs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
