METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ENHANCING RECOGNITION OF SPEECH SOUND AMONG SPEECH-IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for enhancing recognition of speech sounds among speech-impaired individuals. PSOLUTION: A method of teaching a temporarily impaired individual how to discriminate a stimulus of at least two rapidly changing frequencies of sounds consonants comprises (a) a process of separating the stimulus of the at least two different sounds in order to realize the stimulus intervals of at least 200 milliseconds, (b) a process of extending the sounds of the consonants in each of the stimuli by the coefficient of at least 30%, (c) a process of iterating the at least two different stimuli in random order until the temporarily impaired individual can discriminate the order of the respective stimuli, (d) a process of decreasing the stimulus intervals by a coefficient of at least 1%, (e) a process of iterating the process (c) at the decreased stimulus intervals until the temporarily impaired individual can discriminate the order of the respective stimuli, and (f) a process of iterating the processes from (c) to (e).
