PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronization method in an optical access network for giving a connection start time of an upload optical switch element of an optical switch apparatus, the optical switch apparatus, a center apparatus, a remote apparatus, an optical access system, the optical access network, a program, and a recording medium.;SOLUTION: A ranging function is given to the optical switch apparatus, and the center apparatus OLU conducts the ranging of the optical switch apparatus OSM, as well as the ranging of the remote apparatus ONU.
