PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer-rotor in-wheel type motor wherein outside air is effectively utilized and a coil that is generating heat is effectively cooled when a vehicle is running and power is not consumed when the coil is cooled and an electric automobile and a hybrid vehicle equipped with the outer-rotor in-wheel type motor. PSOLUTION: The outer-rotor in-wheel type motor 1 is so constructed that: a stator core 2 having salient pole cores 4 with coils 41 attached to them is installed around a hollow axle 3 and a rotor that rotates around the stator 2 is constructed of a wheel 6 and salient poles 61 attached to its inner circumferential surface. The stator core 2 is provided in it with an inflow passage 71 and an exhaust passage 72. The outside air that entered the inflow passage 71 from the hollow axle 3 is supplied to the coils 41, and the outside air that is heated by drawing heat from the coils 41 is exhausted to outside the vehicle through the exhaust passage 72.
