PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method of cutting a wide band-like planographic printing plate material having a hydrophilic layer and an image forming layer in order on a plastic film base material and a back layer on the back to a narrow band-like planographic printing plate material without the occurrence of burr in the cut surface and separation of the back layer, and a roll-like planographic printing plate material formed by winding the narrow band-like planographic printing plate material round a winding core.;SOLUTION: In this cutting method, the hydrophilic layer and the image forming layer are formed in order on the running long plastic film base material, and the band-like planographic printing plate material having the back layer on the back is continuously cut to at least two narrow band-like planographic printing plate materials along the running direction using at least one set of rotary blades having a set of a disc-like upper blade and a drum-like lower blade rotated in the opposite directions to each other.
