PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod-like member for a balustrade, and the balustrade, which are excellent in corrosion resistance and durability, by preventing rainwater from intruding into a tubular member.;SOLUTION: A core material 8, which is composed of a material different from a material for a tubular body 7, is provided in the internal space of the tubular body 7, and a gap 9 between an inner surface of the tubular body 7 and an outer surface of the core material 8 is filled with a sealant 11. Irregularities 8b are formed on the outer surface of the core material 8. For, example, a male screw 8b is formed on the outer surface of the core material 8.
