PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection system which can surely carry out superposed projection and divided projection and can facilitate the installation work of a plurality of projectors.;SOLUTION: The image projection system 1 detects the projection positions relating to the projection areas A, B of images for checking the projection positions projected from the two projectors 4A, 4B and automatically decides whether the projection form desired by a user is the superposed projection or the divided projection from the projection position, and performs the position correction of the projection areas A, B again automatically in such a manner that the correct projection position meeting the decided projection form can be attained. Accordingly, the user is not required to carry out the exact positioning of the projectors 4A, 4B by himself or herself so as to attain the desired projection form at the time of projecting the content image. The labor for the installation work can thus be drastically reduced. Also, the superposed projection or the divided projection is not spuriously carried out and therefore, the user is able to enjoy the intrinsic image meeting the projection form.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
