GAS HYDRATE PELLET TRANSPORTING METHOD AND TRANSPORT SHIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas hydrate pellet transporting method and a transport ship therefor capable of transporting efficiently gas hydrate (NGH) pellets of natural gas etc., including storage etc. of the manufacturing water and the separate water after gas-water separation when the pellets are manufactured.;SOLUTION: According to this transporting method, NGH pellets are manufactured from gas and water by a gas hydrate manufacturing facility 101 at the site of shipping, and the obtained NGH pellets are turned into slurry using a slurry medium and loaded in an NGH storage tank 3 of the NGH transport ship 105. The NGH pellets in the storage tank 3 are stored at a temperature to assure keeping in the stable condition and transported to the place of unloading, and there the NGH pellet in the slurry state are put down to a regasifying plant 102. The NGH pellet slurry is subjected to the separating process by the regasifying plant 102, and the slurry medium and water separated are loaded in the emptied storage tank 3 of the transport ship 105 and transported to the NGH manufacturing facility 101 at the site of shipping to be reused.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
