PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program for volume calculation to highly accurately measure the volume of a recessed part or projecting part existing on an object surface by means of image analysis using a computer.;SOLUTION: A maximum-value/minimum value filter process is performed for the whole surface of a two-dimensional surface shape image (1) to acquire two images (2) and (3) in which projecting or recessed parts are eliminated at the surface height of both side parts of a measuring object region. The images (1) and (2) are processed to generate a lower position side corrected three-dimensional image (4) in which a step is removed at the lower surface side height, and the image (4) is digitized at a threshold 1 to generate a rectangularized three-dimensional image (6). The images (1) to (3) are processed to generate a higher position side corrected three-dimensional image (5) in which a step is removed at the higher surface side height. The logical multiplication of the images (5) and (6) is processed to generate a reducedly corrected three-dimensional image (7) by reducing the width of the object region widened on the image (5) to image 6 to a rectangle width of the image (6). The images (7) to (4) are processed to generate a corrected rectangular image (8) on a step part of the object region.
