PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current flaw detecting method and an eddy current flaw detecting probe that can estimate the depth of a flaw that occurs on a flaw detecting surface side and has a depth of up to about 40 mm based on a flaw detecting signal and can detect a flaw occurring in a surface opposite to the flaw detecting surface of a thick material.;SOLUTION: A plurality of exciting coils of which generated alternating current magnetic fields have the same frequency and reverse polarizations are arranged so that the axis of the coils are parallel with an inspection surface.
