PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion of a liquid adhering to discharge follower rollers 232 to a recording paper 180.;SOLUTION: The ink-jet recorder 10 which ejects the liquid to the recording paper 180 is equipped with a recording head 172 which ejects the liquid to one face of the recording paper 180 while moving back and forth on the recording paper 180, a transfer part 150 which transfers the recording paper 180 to a position opposed to the recording head 172, a discharge part 160 with the discharge follower rollers and discharge driving rollers 230, and a control part 300 which discharges the recording paper 180 in a state with the ejection action of the recording head 172 being stopped on the basis of an indication that the liquid should be removed from the discharge follower rollers. The discharge follower rollers are arranged at the one face side of the recording paper 180 and rotate freely. The discharge driving rollers 230 are arranged oppositely to the discharge follower rollers and are rotary driven.
