PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate an appropriate effect of an investment in power generation equipment.;SOLUTION: An information processing method for evaluating an effect of an investment in power generation equipment includes a step of computing an effect of an investment in power generation equipment, according to a predicted value factoring in the investment and an estimated value factoring out the investment both of an index representing an effect of investment in the power generation equipment and varying with the age, as a time shift of the index, and storing the shift time data in an investment effect data storage part, and a step of calculating a difference for an estimate year between a predicted value factoring in the investment and a predicted value factoring out the investment both of maintenance costs, from regression coefficients of a logarithmic regression curve representing time changes in maintenance costs of model equipment stored in a maintenance cost model curve data storage part, a ratio of maintenance costs of the power generation equipment at a specific time point to the value of the logarithmic regression curve at the specific time point, the time data stored in the investment effect data storage part, and time data for the estimate year, and storing the difference in a maintenance cost investment effect data storage part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
