PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implement for treating a patent foramen ovale, hardly damaging a septum primum usually sealing the foramen ovale of interatrial septum and applying little load thereto, restraining the septum primum from opening toward the left atrium of heart, and preventing blood from flowing from the right atrium of heart to the left atrium of heart due to the patent foramen ovale.;SOLUTION: The implement 1 for treating the patent foramen ovale has a first part 2, a second part 3 and a third part 4 each having a predetermined length, and a pulling member 5 penetrating into the second part 3 from a side face of a distal portion of the second part 3, crossing the second part 3 obliquely to extend from a side face of a proximal portion of the second part 3 and penetrating into the third part 4 from a side face of a distal portion of the third part 4. One end of the pulling member is held by a proximal portion of the first part 2, and the other end part of the pulling member 5 and the third part 4 are respectively provided with engaging mechanisms engaged with each other when the pulling member is pulled to allow the first part 2 and the second part 3 to be proximate to each other and the second part 3 and the third part 4 to be proximate to each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
