METHOD FOR PRODUCING IRON OXYHYDROXIDE COMPLEX AND ABSORBING MATERIAL OF IRON OXYHYDROXIDE COMPLEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for advantageously producing an iron oxyhydroxide complex exhibiting excellent adsorptivity to a phosphorus component of factory effluents, exhaust gas or the like and a harmful substance such as an endocrine disrupter, and to provide an adsorbing material obtained by the method.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the iron oxyhydroxide complex comprises a step (a) of producing an iron oxyhydroxide-containing precipitate by adding a base to an iron ion-containing solution and adjusting the pH of the base-added solution to 6, a step (b) of obtaining iron oxyhydroxide by drying the produced precipitate at 100C, a step (c) of mixing the obtained iron oxyhydroxide in a water-soluble resin solution, and, if necessary, a step (d) of foaming the obtained mixture and a step (e) of drying the obtained mixture at 100C.
