PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively prevent the usage of contents using an expired usage right at a lessee side, and to positively provide the usage of the contents after expiration at a lessor side when leasing and renting a content usage right.;SOLUTION: A lessor terminal 20 sets a usage expiration date to the content usage right to be an object of leasing and renting, and notifies it to an issuance server 10. When the lessor terminal 20 sends a permanent usage right together with a fee to the issuance server 10, the issuance server 10 sends two usage rights with divided usage periods within the notified usage expiration date to the lessor terminal 20. The lessor terminal 20 sends only the usage right which is usable until the usage expiration date but unusable after the usage expiration date to a lessee terminal 30 as a counter value of a rental fee.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
