PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device capable of being used in various on-vehicle electronic apparatus and provide an on-vehicle electronic apparatus unit using the remote control device.;SOLUTION: A remote control part 12 has a first signal processing part 13 and an infrared ray projection part 14. The first signal processing part 13 produces a signal corresponding to the operation signal while the infrared ray projection part 14 emits the produced signal upon turning into an infrared signal. A connector part 15 has an input terminal IN₂ and an output terminal OUT₂. The remote control device 1 is used as the on-vehicle electronic apparatus unit together with a switch part 2 and the on-vehicle electronic apparatus 3. The switch part 2 supplies the operation signal to the first signal processing part 13. The on-vehicle electronic apparatus 3 has an infrared reception part 34 which receives the infrared signal, and a second signal processing part 33 which feeds the signal decoded from the infrared signal to the input terminal IN₂ of the connector part 15.
