PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a conveyance driving roller capable of easily manufacturing the conveyance driving roller having a central supporting part where a high friction resistance film is not formed, in a condition of highly accurately uniformized outer diameter of a peripheral surface formed with the high friction resistance film, without increasing the the number of manufacturing processes.;SOLUTION: Two reduced-diameter parts 401 with their diameters approximately concentrically reduced by a predetermined difference of outer diameters at an approximately constant width are provided near both outsides of a part to be the central supporting part 413 for manufacturing a shaft body 40 (a: shaft body manufacturing process). A masking tape MT is winded around an outer peripheral surface of a region sandwiched by the two reduced-diameter parts 401 including the part to be the central supporting part 413 of the shaft body 40 (b: masking process). A high friction resistance film coating S is uniformly provided at a predetermined film thickness on an outer peripheral surface of a region of the shaft body 40 to be formed with the high friction resistance film including the masking processed part (c: high friction resistance film forming process).
