PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming agent for aerated concrete exhibiting superior foam stability. PSOLUTION: The foaming agent for manufacturing aerated concrete comprising a compound (A) expressed by general formula (1) in which R is a 8-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon, Y is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, m is an integer of 1-10, X is an alkali metal cation, an ammonium or an amine cation; a compound (B) expressed by formula (2) in which R and X are the same as in general formula (1); a 8-20C aliphatic alcohol (C); and a 8-14C aliphatic acid or its salt (D); and being characterised in that the content of the aliphatic acid or its salt (D) is 20-100 wt.% based on the total weight of the compound (A) and the compound (B); is used.
