PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclination correction method and device using biaxial terrestrial magnetism sensor and acceleration sensor.;SOLUTION: Based on a principle that a measured value of a terrestrial magnetic field, where one axis of the biaxial terrestrial magnetism sensor is stood perpendicularly coincides with a value of the terrestrial magnetic field of Z axis component, the value of the terrestrial magnetic field of Z axis is obtained using two axes of the biaxial terrestrial magnetic sensor. Accordingly, an azimuth angle is easily calculated, the azimuth angle which changed with the inclination can be corrected. Even if the inclination arises, an effect which can always output a constant azimuth angle is obtained. When a module of the biaxial terrestrial magnetism sensor and the acceleration sensor is used for a mobile device, by a simple operation which user stands the mobile device perpendicularly, or rotates up and down, the terrestrial magnetic field value of three axes is automatically measured from the biaxial terrestrial magnetism sensor, the azimuth angle changing by the inclination can be corrected, the effect that the azimuth angle which is always fixed can be output is acquired.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
