PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a scanplan for inspection of a component. PSOLUTION: The method includes a step for loading the geometric model (46) of the component; and a step for generating the scanplan of the component, based on the geometric model (46) and at least one scanning parameter. A method for inspecting the component is also provided and includes: a step for loading the geometric model (46) of the component; a step for generating the scanplan for the component based on the geometric model (46) and at least one scanning parameter; a step for mounting the component on the system manipulator; and a step for inspecting the component, including the step for moving the inspection probe relative to the component that use the scanplan.
