PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring the circulation amount of a bed material in a circulating fluidized bed combustion device capable of easily determining and evaluating the actual circulation amount of bed material, and improving accuracy in comparison of a result of heat balance studied with simulation with a result of actual operation.;SOLUTION: This method of measuring the circulation amount of bed material measures a time necessary for the bed material accumulated in a downcomer 5 to reach an upper desired height position H₁ from a lower standard height position H₀, when the air for flowing, supplied to an external heat exchanger 7 is stopped, and a flow rate of the bed material is determined as the circulation amount on the basis of the measured time and the accumulation amount of the bed material on the basis of an inner diameter ψD of the downcomer 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
