METHOD FOR SETTING TRANSMITTER DISCRIMINATION ELEMENT BY SETTER HAVING INHERENT DISCRIMINATION ELEMENT AND TIRE AIR PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a user to totally manage a transmitter discrimination element, and to enable a setter to automatically allot the discrimination element.;SOLUTION: The method for setting the transmitter discrimination element to the transmitter of the tire air pressure monitoring system is provided. The setter discrimination elements inherent to the shipped discrimination element setters respectively are written in a non-rewritable memory and a predetermined initial value relative to a variable code of the predetermined number of digits is written in a non-volatile rewritable memory. A production step for producing the new transmitter discrimination element by combining a value obtained by advancing the variable code of the finally set setter discrimination element by one unit with the setter discrimination element in response to setting instruction by predetermined operation and the new transmitter discrimination element are transmitted.
