SPEEDY AND SIMPLE GRAM'S STAINING METHOD AND APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speedy and simple Gram's staining method and an apparatus making staining in a substantially shorter time than a conventional Gram's staining method and also making staining of a small amount of a specimen.;SOLUTION: A sample is not washed after pre-staining, mordanting, and decoloration or after intermediate processes of pre-staining, mordanting, and decoloration but washed only after after-staining in a final process, and the work time of the intermediate processes and the final process is shortened in the Gram's staining method and the Gram's staining apparatus related to the same. A filter paper is previously impregnated with a staining liquid to eliminate the need for the preparation of a staining liquid, which enables uses at any location such as the outside.
